Amy Black graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May of 2002 with a B.A. in Theatre Arts. Her first Rough Magic collaboration was co-directing Grimm Tales that summer and moved to Chicago in the fall. Amy played Serena in Touch upon her return to Lincoln in the fall of 2004 and became a Rough Magic member shortly thereafter. She was elected Managing Director in January 2005 and finished her term in September 2006. Other Rough Magic credits include Stranger than Fiction, Summerstock II and Matt and Ben. Amy continues to feed her love for the arts as Executive Coordinator of the Lied Center for Performing Arts, a martial arts student at Sho Rei Shobu Kan and a member of Rough Magic Productions.
